Jessica is a 4th year undergraduate student planning to receive her B.S in Criminal Justice at San Diego State University. She has a passion for working with underserved communities within the criminal-legal system.

Alongside working as an intern for Supervisor Montgomery Steppe’s Office, she is also a Research Assistant for the San Diego Public Defender’s Office. Jessica plans to pursue a graduate degree in Public Policy (MPP) with a concentration in Social/Urban Policy and Non-Profit Management. Jessica aspires to become a Policy Advisor in Washington D.C. to develop and advise criminal justice policy that provides social welfare services through community-based interventions and restorative justice-focused legislation.

Jessica is originally from Seattle, Washington and loves to spend time out in her local community, exploring parks and going on hikes in the greater Seattle area.
